Today marks a significant moment for the National Park Foundation in a journey nearly 60 years in the making.
As I step into the role of president and CEO of the National Park Foundation, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. Will Shafroth's leadership for the past decade, guided by NPF's incredible Board of Directors, and the commitment of an exceptional staff has built a remarkable legacy and strong foundation we stand upon today. We now have a unique opportunity to fulfill NPF's mission and to dream even bigger about what America's national parks can be for all of us and for future generations.
I want to acknowledge the National Park Service and Foundation's incredible partners: the park partner community, generous donors, and corporate partners who support us and play such vital roles to care for national parks and make possible the experiences we all share.
As we embark on this new chapter, let us set our sights on what is possible. Let us not merely aim to meet our goals, but to redefine them. Let's envision a world where our efforts create lasting impact and where our ideas challenge the expected.
