National Park Foundation Celebrates the 2020 Subaru Share the Love® Event

SUBARU WILL DONATE $250 TO PARTICIPATING CHARITIES FOR EVERY NEW SUBARU VEHICLE PURCHASED OR LEASED NOVEMBER 19, 2020 – JANUARY 4, 2021

WASHINGTON – Park enthusiasts can support our more than 400 treasured national parks whenever they purchase or lease a new Subaru vehicle, thanks to an ongoing partnership between the National Park Foundation and Subaru of America, Inc.

As part of its thirteenth annual Subaru Share the Love® Event, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased through January 4, 2021 to participating charities. Subaru will donate $250 to the National Park Foundation when the customer selects them as their charity of choice during the event.

For the fifth year in a row, there will be no cap on the total donation from Subaru of America, Inc. to its charitable partners. By the end of this year’s event, Subaru and its retailers hope to exceed a grand total of $200 million donated since the creation of the Subaru Share the Love Event in 2008.

Through this annual event, Subaru has provided over $12.7 million in funding to the National Park Foundation for critical programs and projects in America’s more than 400 national parks and helped increase public awareness and engagement across our National Park System.

Utilizing Subaru’s zero-landfill expertise, in recent years Subaru Share the Love donations have supported increased sustainability and environmental stewardship through a pilot program at three iconic national parks – Denali, Grand Teton and Yosemite. This collaborative effort has resulted in eliminating more than 16 million pounds of waste from landfills. Lessons learned from these three parks are being used to help further sustainability efforts across our national parks.

Subaru is also supporting the National Park Foundation’s efforts as a premier partner for Find Your Park / Encuentra Tu Parque. Launched in March 2015, #FindYourPark is a public awareness and education movement to inspire people from all backgrounds to connect with, celebrate, and support America’s national parks and community-based programs. #FindYourPark invites people to discover and share their own unique connections to our nation's natural landscapes, vibrant culture, and rich history.
