National Park Foundation and Alpina Partner on New Limited Edition Alpiner Quartz

NEW YORK—The National Park Foundation (NPF) and Alpina are excited to introduce the limited edition National Park Foundation Alpiner Quartz. For over 50 years, NPF has served as the official non-profit partner of the United States National Park Service. NPF helps protect U.S. national parks and connects visitors to the unique experiences parks offer. Alpina is proud to support these initiatives, with a focus on the parks’ rivers and trails systems, perpetuating the longstanding alpinist tradition of the brand.

The clean lines, essential design and intrinsic quality characteristic of the Swiss brand’s Alpiner collection are updated with inspiration from the national parks of the United States. Maintaining the key features that Alpina deems essential in a sports watch – anti-magnetic, anti-shock, water-resistant and stainless – the new piece is the explorer’s latest must-have gear. With a forest green dial and brown leather strap, the piece embodies the essence of the trails that the collaboration seeks to protect. The Alpiner’s signature high performance and reliability renders the same trusted quality of adventurers navigating the Alps to the trails and rivers of the U.S. national parks.

“This timepiece is the next step in our partnership with the National Park Foundation, and the perfect opportunity for the wearer to show their support of the national parks,” said Alpina’s Managing Director, Fernando Sanchez. He continued, “Alpina was founded by a group of Alpinist who loved the outdoors and through this partnership we expand the brand’s support of the great outdoors from the Swiss Alps to the US national parks. We can’t wait to see the adventures people encounter in the National Park System!”

Quintessential sporting elegance for the rugged trails to everyday wear, the sophisticated AL-240 quartz movement hosts hours, minutes, seconds and date window at 6 o’clock protected by a scratch-resistant convex sapphire crystal fixed in a 42mm diameter case and water resistance up to 100m/330ft. Outfitted in a brown strap embossed with the National Park Foundation logo, the “Alpinist” Adventurer can wear the spirit of exploration proudly on their sleeve (literally!). The case back displays the unique limited-edition number along with the Alpina and NPF logos. Presented in a custom box with an NPF patch, the National Park Foundation Alpiner Quartz is in a limited run of 300 pieces and available to purchase for $795 USD.

“Alpina’s generous support helps us fulfill our mission to protect and enhance America’s national parks for present and future generations,” said Stefanie Mathew, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at the National Park Foundation. “The National Park Foundation is proud to partner with a brand that encourages its consumers to experience the beauty and history of these national treasures.”
