Overview

The Winnebago Brand and Winnebago Industries Foundation have invested in the immense value of a diverse outdoor future workforce and celebrate their shared commitment through special-edition, park inspired RVs where all are invited to share in the outdoors. As the first corporate partner to support programs across three areas of work connecting people to parks, the road ahead is paved with opportunity.

The Backstory

For more than six decades, Winnebago has created products that enable customers to explore America’s national parks. In 2019, Winnebago, the Winnebago Industries Foundation, and the National Park Foundation began a partnership around a shared mission of creating outdoor experiences and inspiring generations of park champions.

It began with raising awareness around parks less traveled and the Open OutDoors for Kids program, which offers hands-on learning opportunities for students to experience the beauty, history and culture of our national parks through field trips and educational resources. They’ve since built upon this support to engage the future outdoor recreation and conservation workforce through service corps.

Throughout the partnership, Winnebago has complimented impact funding with award winning products, including a limited-edition National Park Foundation Travato, Solis and Vista / Sunstar motorhomes. These products enable outdoor enthusiasts to express their support of the National Park Foundation while enjoying untethered journeys and adventures. Partnership Impact

Since 2021, the partnership has been centered on a shared value of outdoor equity and diversifying the next generation of outdoor leaders, providing support to service corps with the goals of expanding engagement with underserved and historically excluded communities. Over 2,000 young people and veterans participated in service corps projects since 2021, including the Leaders of Color Crew at Mesa Verde National Park, proudly supported by Winnebago Industries.

At Winnebago, we believe in eliminating barriers, promoting access, and cultivating connections to the social, mental, and physical health benefits of the outdoors. We’re thrilled to continue our support of the National Park Foundation and their critical work to make the outdoors a place where all are welcome.
