Park Flight Program
This program works primarily to protect shared migratory bird species and their habitats in national parks and protected areas throughout the Western Hemisphere through developing bird conservation and education projects and providing exchange of technical expertise and cooperation. The projects focus on species and habitat assessment, protection and management and interpretation, environmental education, and outreach to park visitors and communities surrounding the parks.
The Park Flight Program is a partnership between the National Park Service, the National Park Foundation, the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit at the University of Arizona.
The Park Flight Program has placed over 50 international volunteers through this program.
