The National Park Foundation announced today that television host and environmentalist Jeff Corwin will host their upcoming Electronic Field Trip on climate change from North Cascades National Park in northern Washington State on October 13th. The FREE Electronic Field Trip, designed for 4- 8th grade students, will provide a unique, interactive opportunity for youth from around the world to engage with park rangers, scientists, and Jeff Corwin himself as they learn the critical importance and implications of climate change.
According to a recent study released by the Environmental Protection Agency, climate change is expected to affect virtually every sector of our society. Equipping the next generation with a knowledge base from which to understand the problem is of vital importance not only to our National Parks’ vitality, but to the delicate balance of the planet’s ecosystems. Please join the National Park Foundation’s efforts to educate the world’s youth, inspiring them to take steps on a personal, local and global level to counteract the negative impacts of climate change.
